Returns & Right of Withdrawal
We want you to live with your Cohoo piece, not to feel stuck with it. This page explains your statutory right of withdrawal and how returns work in practice.
1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
The period starts on the day after you (or someone you nominate, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods. If an order is delivered in several parts, it starts the day after you receive the last part.
2. How to withdraw
Tell us clearly before the 14 days are over. Email info@cohoo.co with your order number, or use the model withdrawal form below. Any unambiguous statement is enough — you do not have to use the form. Sending your notice before the deadline is what counts.
We will acknowledge your notice by email and send you the return address and instructions.
3. Sending the goods back
Send the goods back to us without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of telling us you are withdrawing.
Please return the piece unused, in its original protective packaging, with all fittings and any accessories. You are liable only for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods — the same handling you would have in a shop.
4. Who pays return shipping
You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Because our pieces are furniture and lighting and cannot normally be returned by ordinary post, we are required to give you an estimate: returning a piece from Europe to our studio in Ankara typically costs between €120 and €250, depending on the size of the piece and the country it is sent from. We can arrange the return for you with DHL on our own account and deduct the actual cost from your refund — ask us and we will quote the exact amount before you commit, so you are never surprised. This is usually cheaper than booking it yourself.
Any import duty or import VAT you paid on delivery is refunded by your national customs authority, not by us. Keep your customs paperwork and apply to them for a refund of import charges on returned goods.
5. Your refund
We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost we charged you, within 14 days of the day we are told of your decision to withdraw. If you chose a delivery method more expensive than our standard option, we refund the standard cost only.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you supply proof that you have sent them — whichever is earlier. We refund using the same payment method you used, and the refund costs you nothing.
6. Made-to-order and customised pieces
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your own specification or clearly personalised — for example a bespoke size, a custom finish or a commissioned piece. Standard catalogue pieces produced to order in one of our listed colours are not excluded: your 14-day right applies to them in full.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
This is separate from withdrawal. If a piece arrives damaged, is faulty or is not what you ordered, email info@cohoo.co with photographs — within 48 hours of delivery for transport damage. We arrange repair, replacement or refund and we pay the return cost. Consumers in the EU and EEA have a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery; UK consumers have equivalent statutory rights.
8. Model withdrawal form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
